For the 15-year-old Cheyenne, who has been taking part competitively in athletics for three years now, it's about improving on her efforts from last year's national championships.
"Last year I came second - overall," Cheyenne said.
Her silver medal winning time was 2.13 minutes which was also a personal best [PB] time.
"I am pretty confident and I have been running well this year - I could possibly get a new PB over there," she said about her 2023 national chances.
"My aim is to get gold but even finishing in the top five or getting any medal would be good."
Paige is looking forward to taking part in her first All Schools Nationals championship.
The 14-year-old is excited about getting the chance to compete on the national stage.
"It's a big achievement for me and I have accomplished a lot this year," Paige said about getting to compete in the nationals.
Paige says getting the chance to compete in Perth is the highlight of her growing athletic career.
The sisters, ever since they were in primary school, have liked competing in the 800 metres and achieved strong results.
Paige likes to stick with the pack in her races - ready to make her move.
"Someone could just take off and you just have to hold onto them and go when they go," Paige said.
Paige's PB is 2.18 minutes which she achieved recently.
The sisters had to earn their place in the All Schools National Athletics championships by competing in various regional and state competitions.
They train five times a week and are coached by Danielle Szakacs.
The two Ulladulla High School students will be training hard over the next few weeks to prepare for the Nationals.
Both said it was important to have self-belief and be fully focused.
Cheyenne and Paige enjoy competing in their chosen sport.
Meanwhile, at the recent NSW Combined High Schools Athletics titles, Ulladulla High School's girl athletes were singled out for their efforts.
Ulladulla High was named the Champion Girls School, based on their overall performances and achievements.
The competitors were Kiana Brook, Amelia Croker, Suvi Flore-Quirk, Eva Yorke, Jessica Kann, Paige Murray, Audrey Sakora, Finn Bailie, Ruby Considine, Aliyah Healey, Cheyenne Murray, Eden Sakora, Charlotte Campbell, Elsie Foster, Annabelle Healey, Summer Roach, Jordyn Backhouse and Olivia Greenhalgh.
